Tiger Woods: I Resolve to Stop Straying

More than a dozen alleged mistresses have stepped forward to tarnish Tiger Woods’s squeaky-clean image since his post-Thanksgiving accident, which was reportedly the result of an argument he had with wife Elin when she found out about his 31-month relationship with reality-show contestant Jaimee Grubbs. Tiger has since apologized for his actions: "I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children," he said on Dec. 11 in a statement on his Web site. "I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try." And David Letterman, meanwhile, has used the Tiger scandal to deflect some of the spotlight off himself for his cheating transgressions. "I wish he would stop callin’ me for advice," the talk-show host joked on the Late Show last week.
